Liaison

The Liaison Committee met to elect a chair and a vice-chair and to adopt routine motions. Julie Dzerowicz nominated Judy Sgro for chair, and the motion was carried. Terry Duguid nominated Kelly McCauley for vice-chair, and that motion was also carried.

The committee then adopted a series of routine motions without debate. These included establishing a subcommittee on committee budgets composed of the chair, the vice-chair, three other government members, and one member of the official opposition. The committee also agreed to retain analysts from the Library of Parliament as needed and authorized the clerk to grant access to the committee’s digital binder to the whips’ offices and to arrange working meals for the committee and its subcommittees.

No other business was discussed, and no matters were left unresolved.
